Dish: Kambhu laddu
Quantity: 20 laddus
Cooking time:5 minutes

Let us now check out the required ingredients.

Ingredients:

Kambhu (pearl millet)     - 1 cup
Powdered jaggery          - 1/2 cup
Ghee                              - 1/4 cup
Nuts                               - as required

Procedure:

  1. Dry roast the kambhu (pearl millet) for about 1 minute.

  2. Grind it into a fine powder. Transfer it to a mixing bowl.

  3. Add the powdered jaggery to it and mix well.

  4. In a tadka pan, heat the ghee and add the nuts to it.

  5. Now pour the hot ghee into the millet flour.

  6. Mix well and start holding laddus.

  7. Laddus are now ready to serve.

Tips and tricks:

  1. You can replace the pearl millet with any other millet of your choice.
  2. The sweetness of the jaggery varies from one another, so check out the sweetness in prior as per your taste.
  3. Start holding the laddus immediately when it's warm, else you will not be able to get the shape.
  4. If you feel the laddus are very dry, add a tbsp of milk to the mixture and then start holding the mixture.
